Why are you doing this?

Not to get money – nothing is monetized and it is costing us money to host this site. We want to get the word out concerning our findings and we want help from the public to pressure your government officials to get to the bottom of this issue.

Your numbers must be wrong – this could not be happening…

Our numbers were validated by a data expert, and the spreadsheets validated as well. The sum of official votes exactly matches the total govenor race totals, so any manual entering of values appears to be properly entered.

What was the percentage based on the parties.

Of the total vote, 3.64% was lost across all parties. But it was not evenly spread. Democrats lost an estimated 69,000 votes which is 6.4% of the democratic turnout. Republicans lost an estimated 47,000 votes which was 2.4% of the republican turnout.

3-4% of the vote does not impact elections does it?

Some races are won by a slim margin, and especially in primary elections, the low voter turnout makes each vote count at a greater percentage than the general elections. 3% of the vote might be enough to keep someone from reaching 50% and avoid a runoff.
